Obituary for Larry Hershel Stokes
Larry Hershel Stokes, 76, of Bartonville passed away Thursday, April 6, 2023, at Carle Health Methodist in Peoria.
He was born February 6, 1947, in Peoria to Clifton O. and Mildred C. Bell Stokes.
He married Brenda Vaughn; she preceded him in death in 2009. His parents and son, James C. Stokes also preceded him in death.
He is survived by his siblings, Annette Plice, Betty (Richard) Webb, Mary (Les) Pero and many nieces and nephews.
Larry worked for Keystone Steel and Wire, retiring in 2003.
He was a man with a very big heart. Larry loved helping people in need. He loved working with his hands and enjoyed doing repairs to others houses. He is united again with his family.
Cremation has been accorded and services will be held at a later date.
