Obituary for Kristy Behm
Kristy Sue Behm, 67, of Peoria went to be with her Lord, Jesus Christ Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. She was born December 27, 1947 in Decatur to Harold Albert and Betty Faye Wood Lawrence. She married Brian Behm July 6, 1968 in Peoria, he survives. She is also survived by her father, Harold Lawrence of Peoria; daughter, Dana (Jeff) Thurmond of Wyoming, MI; son, Derek Behm of Peoria; grandchildren, Kurtis, Tyler, Brittany, Jenna, Joshua; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Adrian, Katelyn; sister, Judith A. (Bruce) Simpson of Peoria and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother. Kristy was the Postmaster in Shirley, IL, retiring in 2012. She lived for her children and grandchildren. She loved to play games. She was a member of Harvest Bible Chapel 401 Cimmeron Drive in East Peoria where a memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 1 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Wilton Mortuary in Peoria. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital Mid-West Affiliate, Women’s Pregnancy Center, Red Cross Component Lab or Harvest Bible Chapel in her name. Cremation has been accorded.
