Obituary for Kenneth R. Burton
Kenneth R. Burton 64, of Peoria passed away on Friday April 3, 2009 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Born in Peoria on August 12, 1944 to Buril and Alvina Ficht Burton. He is survived by his brothers; Richard (Joann) of Roanoke, Roger (Linda) of Waller, TX, Robert (Maggie) of Robein, Ronald (Janet) of Peoria, his 14 nieces and nephews and 27 great nieces and nephews. His parents preceded him in death. Kenneth worked as a Warehouseman and was a 25 year member and Treasurer of W.O.W, lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan, played fast pitch softball for Rudds team & Trophy House, was the Director of Activities at Glenn Park Terrace and was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church, 3403 W. Ann St. Peoria 61604, where a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday May 2, at 1 p.m. Rev. John Bagley will officiate. Memorials may be made in his name to the Church. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. is assisting the family with arrangements.
