Obituary for Kenneth "Ken" Leroy Roberts
Kenneth, “Ken”, Leroy Roberts, 75, of Toulon died at 1:50 p.m. Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Unity Point Proctor.
Born December 20, 1946, in Canton to Howard and Marian Roberts, he married Karen S. Berger on November 30, 1968, in Glasford, IL. She survives.
Also surviving are three brothers, Charles (Shirley) Roberts, Richard Roberts, Harold (Debra) Roberts; three daughters, Kim (Brent) Kuhlman, Heidi (Justin) Elliott, and Crystal (Bruce) West; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces, grand nephews and nieces, great grand nephews, and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law.
He was a truck driver for 52 years; driving for Dorn, Gateway, Rudolf Express, Maytag, and West Side Trucking, retiring in 2020. He was a Vietnam Veteran serving as a U.S. Army Medic from 1966 to 1968. He enjoyed Nascar, watching bad action movies, good food, especially desserts, and renovating homes with his niece, Jeanette and Paul Fitzgerrel.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022, from 3 – 7 p.m. at the Bistro (Stark County News Building), 101 West Main Street, Toulon, IL.
