Obituary for Kelly Maria Sherrill
Kelly Maria Sherrill (Heurion) was born May 20, 1960 to Walter Joseph Heurion (merchant seaman) and Genevieve Justine Gendron in Grand Bay Alabama, youngest of 4 children, 2 brothers: Joe Heurion, Bob Heurion and 1 sister Susie Bartlette (Heurion). Kelly grew up in Weaverville California where she attended and graduated Trinity High School. She later earned her degree for medical assisting at Remington College in Mobile Alabama. She also spent time working as a waitress and bartender where she met some of her lifelong friends. She experienced life living in Florida, Tennessee, Alabama and lastly Illinois. While growing up she enjoyed riding and caring for horses, reading her bible, gaining her faith in God. Kelly also loved playing bingo, watching Raiders football, her soap operas and loving on her grandchildren. Kelly passed away peacefully at home in East Peoria Illinois while in the care of Michael and Lori Sherrill at 3:30 pm on Friday March 27th of 2020. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter; mother, Genevieve; sister, Susie Bartlette; daughter, Tiara Klimpel; grandson, Jaden Michael Coggins and granddaughter, Maria Lashae Arnold. She is survived by daughters, Felecia Carpenter (Sherrill), Stephanie Sherrill and Krissy Sherrill along with loving grandchildren, Ariel Klimpel, Kaden Arnold, Gavin Arnold, Grayson Bond, Desmond Carpenter and Dehman Carpenter. There will not be a public service for her memorial. Kelly’s close family was able to spend time celebrating her memory together and are working on making a memorial video to be shared at a later date.
