Obituary for Keenan Washington
Keenan E. Washington 27 of Creve Coeur passed away early Saturday July 30, 2011 at his home. He was born February 2, 1984 in Peoria to Barbara Wessels Washington and Lawrence E. Washington. He was preceded in death by his father, paternal grandparents, maternal grandfather and his uncle who he shared his birthday with, Jim Wessels. He is survived by his mother and step father; Barbara (David) Watson of Virginia Beach, VA, sister; Kelly Washington of Texas, brother; Korey Washington of Texas and his life, Madison Washington (daughter) and her mother Ashley Nyberg. He is also survived by his grandmother; Marge Griefshiem of Florida, several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins, girlfriend; Melissa Herthcoat and 4 step sisters in Virginia. After graduating high school he worked at Winpak for 7 years. Keenan spent his recent years being a wonderful father to his daughter Madison. He was a member of Peoria Athletic Club and enjoyed the sport of mixed martial arts. He enjoyed music and was an amazing guitar player. He was a loving son and devoted father. Cremation has been accorded and a Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday August 3, 2011 at Twelve Oaks Church on University in Peoria from 6 to 8 pm. Memorials can be made to a college fund for his daughter, Madison Washington c/o CEFCU, Keenan Washington Remembrance Fund.
