Obituary for Kathy Sue Adams
Kathy Sue (Widdows) Adams, 70, of Morton, IL passed away Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria, IL, surrounded by her family.
She was born July 19, 1952, in Peoria, IL to Ralph and Ruth Winders Widdows. Her parents and brother, Jack Widdows of East Peoria, IL preceded her in death.
Kathy married Dennis Canterbury and had two children. She later married Jerry Adams.
She is survived by her children, Keith (ReiLynna) Canterbury of Morton, IL, Karie (Rex) Canterbury Breedlove of Morton, IL; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and siblings, Larry (Kitty) Widdows of East Peoria, IL, and Brenda (Jay) Meinrich of Peoria, IL.
Kathy was an Office Manager at Escargot Sportswear in East Peoria, for 28 years, retiring in 2016. Prior to that she worked at B&R Home Improvement and was also the owner of The Ice Cream Shop in East Peoria.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Unity Church in Peoria, IL.
