Karen K. Carpenter, 74, of Peoria passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021 at River Crossing Nursing Home in Peoria.
She was born March 4, 1947 in Peoria to Arthur H. and Lois N. Neff Young Sr.
She married John C. Carpenter Sr., he preceded her in death in 2014. Her parents also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughters, Diana (Doroteo) Campos Christine Tate, Debra (Cory) Robertson, Catrina Carpenter; grandchildren, Alma (David) Powers, Jose Campos, Joshua Campos, Christopher Carpenter, Timothy Carpenter, Keith Robertson, Michelle Carpenter, Lacey Hoerr; five greatgrandchildren and siblings, Rena, Arthur Jr., Joyce, Debbie and Michael.
Karen loved her grandkids and family. She enjoyed cookouts, the 4th of July, watching wrestling, watching TV and Hallmark movies. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. Years ago she worked as a nurses aid.
Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in her name.
