Obituary for Justin McMullen
Justin Nance McMullen 34, of East Peoria, IL passed away Monday September 26, 2011 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. He was born April 27, 1977 in East Peoria, IL to Suzi Crawford McMullen. He married Cristy Lynn Blanton on March 1, 1997. She survives, along with his children, Anastasia McMullen of Pekin, IL, Brodie McMullen, Cole McMullen, and Isabella McMullen all of East Peoria, IL, his parents, Suzi McMullen of East Peoria, IL and Kevin Melloy of Pekin, IL, one brother, Clayton McMullen of Chicago, IL, and four sisters, Brook (Dean) Gness of Granada Hills, CA, Brittany McMullen of East Peoria, IL, Megan Naebsanit of Pekin, IL and Erin (Bill) McFetters of Pekin, IL. He is also survived by his two grandparents, Nancy Crawford of East Peoria, IL, Sylvia J. Melloy of Pekin, IL and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jack Crawford and his paternal grandfather, George C. Melloy. Justin was a 1995 graduate of East Peoria Community High School and worked for Diamond Windows and More for 12 years. There is a spark that can never go out because of him, he will embrace our hearts eternally. His connection with his mother can never be broken. He was a peacemaker and enjoyed riding with the wind on the motorcycle he built from the ground up. He lived and rode as a free spirit. He has planted seeds in all of us that will continue to grow. God Bless his ever loving heart. Cremation has been accorded and a Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday October 3, 2011 at Highview Church of God in Washington, IL with Pastor Richard Fitzwater officiating. Visitation will be prior to the Memorial Service from 4-6 p.m. at the church. Memorials in his name may be made to Justin’s children at Highview Church of God and prayforjustinmcmullen.bbnow.org
