Obituary for Junior Bishop
Junior Ford Bishop 80, of Cuba passed away on Tuesday November 8, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Bernadotte Twp, IL on December 6, 1930 to Ford and Ethel Baughman Bishop. He married Jane Duncan in Canton on December 30 1955, she survives. Also surviving are his daughters, Connie (Craig) Davis of Cuba, Cathy (Steve) Smith of Canton; sisters, Mildred Leezer of Morton, Mary Grisham of Cuba; brother, Howard Bishop of Canton; grandchildren, Tyler, Lindsey, Bryce and Derek and step-grandchildren, Travis, Whitney, Steven and Tyler. His parents, brother Dale Bishop, sister Betty Wickert, brother-in-laws, Tom Wickert, Herschell Grisham, Rollin Leezer and sister-in-law, Alice Bishop preceded him in death. Junior served in the Army during the Korean War and worked as a Farmer. He was a member of the American Legion Post in Cuba, the N.R.A., Auctioneer Association and the Farm Bureau. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held on Friday November 11, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service at Fiatt Christian Independent Church. Pastor Jim Menne will officiate. A luncheon will follow the service. Memorials may be made to Jane Bishop in memory of Junior Bishop for the Wounded Warriors Foundation at Mid America National Bank in Canton.
