Obituary for Josephine Rachel Tucker
Josephine Rachel Tucker, 72, died at her home in Peoria, Illinois on Monday, February 25, 2008. She was born in London, England on April 17, 1935 to Hal Raymond Tucker and Ethel Lilian (Bowgen) Tucker. Her parents and a brother preceded her in death. She is survived by sisters, Jean Paavilainen and La Velle Borders and family. She taught in District 150 from 1968 to 1990, starting at Kingman Primary, then Thomas Jefferson, retiring from Columbia Middle School. Cremation will be accorded. There will be no service at this time. Memorials may be made to the Peoria Humane Society, Foster Pet Outreach, Trust in Hope Fund in care of Illinois Cancer Care Center. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. is assisting the family with arrangements.
