Obituary for Josephine Hayn
Josephine Lillian Hayn, 81, of Pekin passed away on Thursday May 10, 2012 at her residence. She was born in East Peoria on December 11, 1930 to William and Gladys Cox Tresch. She married Edward C. Hayn on May 29, 1971 he preceded her in death on December 1, 1997. Her parents; two sisters; one brother and a granddaughter also preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Nancy (Jack) Matheny of Pekin, Joetta (Steve) Frye of Pekin, Floyd (Brenda) Green of Tennessee; sister, Virginia Pumphrey of Pekin and several grandchildren and great-grandcildren. Josephine attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed life and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Monday May 14, 2012 at Abts Mortuary in Pekin at 1 p.m. with visitation two hours prior at the funeral home. Fr. James Pankiewicz will officiate. Burial will follow the service at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin. Memorials may be made to her daughter Nancy Matheny, 629 Market Street, Pekin, IL 61554 to assist with arrangements.
