Obituary for Joseph Rinaldo
Joseph H. Rinaldo, 74, of Pekin, IL passed away Monday, December 22, 2014 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL. He was born June 23, 1940 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL to Joseph Henry Rinaldo and Florence Arends Rinaldo. He married Judith Mahr Lightbody on October 20, 1962 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin, IL. She died April 2, 2001, he was also preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Karla Rinaldo. Surviving are two sons, Nick (Dawn) of Mapleton and Patrick of Manito; grandchildren, Joey, Tyler of Mapleton and Sean, Shelby of Manito; one niece and two nephews. He was a member of ISWA in Bartonville, IL and was an Electrician at KS&W for 38 years, retiring in 1997. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Tri County Ducks & Geese Forever and the Pekin Moose Lodge 916 for over 10 years. He also was active in the Pekin Boys Club coaching baseball, and also coaching in the Pekin Little League and the Pekin JFL. He was a founding member of the Pekin JFL, President of the Pekin QB Club and President of the Pekin High School Wrestling Booster Club. He was of the Catholic faith. Cremation has been accorded and private services will be held. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin, IL. Memorial contribution may be made to Ducks Unlimited in his name.
