Obituary for Johnnie Ellis Jr.
Johnnie L. Ellis Jr., 53, of Creve Coeur passed away Sunday, October 6, 2019 at his residence. He was born October 2, 1966 in Canton to Johnnie L. and Diane L. Waddell Ellis Sr. His father preceded him in death. He married Brenda Wilson in Maples Mill in 1992; she survives. He is also survived by his mother, Diane L. Quin; sisters, Angela (Dan) Kempf, Rhonda (John) Just, Amy Quin; children, Michael Ellis, Jessica Ellis, Melissa (Dan) Denham; granddaughter, Ava Denham; nieces and nephews, Ryan, Heather, Jacob, Jagger, Felisia, Rebecca, Noah and eight great nieces and nephews. Johnnie worked for SC2. He was an avid Cubs fan and loved fishing, mushroom hunting, being outdoors and listening to AC/DC. Most of all he loved his family and family gatherings; he will be greatly missed. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Maples Mill United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in his name.
