Obituary for John Wild
John Benjamin Wild, 92, of Washington passed away Saturday June 16, 2012 at Washington Christian Village in Washington. He was born July 4, 1919 in Milwaukee, WI.

John graduated from Lakeland College with a degree in philosophy and went on to earn his Master of Divinity from Mission House Seminary.  John served as Presbyterian pastor of several churches in Wisconsin and Iowa. He served as Moderator of the Synod of Wisconsin during the late 50's. In the late 60's, John attended Washington University in St. Louis, MO, earning a degree in hospital and health care administration. He served as a hospital administrator and later worked for the Iowa State Department of Health. After retirement in Albuquerque, NM, he became a visitation pastor until age 80. John and wife, Eunice, then moved to Washington, IL. A lifelong learner, John was a voracious reader and writer. He enjoyed baseball and spent many hours in canoes contemplating trout catching strategy.  His love of the outdoors reflected his adoration of God, creator of heaven and earth. His life reflected of his love of Jesus. John leaves Eunice, his wife and soul mate of 70 years, daughters Patricia Franzen (Dick), Germantown Hills, IL and Rebecca Williamson (Herb) of Kerrville, TX. He had three grandsons, Brad (Katie), Steve (Kristie) and Bryan and five great grand children. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Washington Presbyterian Church. Cremation has been accorded and services will be Tuesday, June 19, at Washington Presbyterian Church at 11:00 am with lunch to follow.
