Obituary for John Whitfield Jr.
John L. Whitfield Jr., 58, of Bartonville passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019 at his residence. He was born March 23, 1961 in Peoria to John L. and Nina Helen Julien Whitfield Sr. He married Linda L. Parm March 26, 1998 in Peoria; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Justin (Jenipher) Whitfield, Jake Whitfield, Jacey (Garet) Wade, Anthony (Emily) Sprague, Ashley Boyd, Breon Whitfield; grandchildren, Rylee, Aspen, Halee, Camrin, Brooklynn, Emmilyn, Mykenzie, Autumn, Mateo; siblings, Vicki Passmore, Ralph (Sharon) Whitfield, Johanna (John) Potter, Tina (Larry) Kuhel; many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Scruffy. His parents; granddaughter, Lacey and grandson, Trenton preceded him in death. John worked at Komatsu; retiring October 1, 2013. He loved his family, friends, NASCAR, Minnesota Vikings, joy rides in his Jeep and making people laugh. He was a member of Timberlake Club and was a former truck driver. Cremation has been accorded and services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in his name.
