Obituary for John W. Marmion
John W. Marmion, 84, of Hanna City passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
He was born November 25, 1938, in Peoria to Frank and Edith Jones Marmion. His parents; first wife, Donna Sue Marmion and daughter, Laura Malin preceded him in death.
He married Dorothy L. Huggins on September 25, 1991, in Ft. Lauderdale, FL; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Kenneth (Carolyn) Marmion, Anita (Jim) Kinney, Rodney Marmion, Jenny (Rory) Chance, Doug (Carrie) Theobald; seventeen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and siblings, Phyllis Zoll and Carolyn Meece.
John served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked 42 years for Verkler Truck Sales.
He loved his family and spending time with them. He enjoyed NASCAR, watching the geese and was an avid RVer. He loved eating ribs.
Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
