Obituary for John R. Reardon
John R. Reardon, 81, of Peoria passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020 at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.
He was born January 8, 1939 in Peoria to Robert and Violet Barden Reardon.
He married Barbara Jean League she preceded him in death October 28, 1992. He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert Reardon, Gary Reardon; sister, Carol Wagner and nephew, David Wagner.
He is survived by his children, Stacey Reardon, Doug (Kelly) Reardon, Barb Reardon-Baer; grandchildren, Davin Reardon, Kailly Reardon, Jonathan Guthrie; brother, Kenneth Reardon and many nieces and nephews.
John served in the U. S. Army and retired from Caterpillar after 30 years. He loved his family and was a wonderful husband and father. He loved spending time with his grandkids. He was very generous and would help anyone. He loved cars and fishing. He was a member of Shriner Mohammed Shrine Bartonville and Lodge Council Chapter Consistory Valley of Peoria.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Children’s Hospital of Illinois in his name.
