John R. Hills Sr., 89, of Metamora passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at his residence.
He was born October 6, 1931 in Colchester to John Z. and Edna Stumph Hills.
He married Marilyn Snider in Peoria in 1951; she preceded him in death in 1997. His parents; daughter, Rita Morici and brothers, Dan Hills, Ernie Hills, Chuck Hills, and Ralph Hills also preceded him in death.
He is survived by his children, John (Beverly) Hills Jr., Mary Hills; grandchildren, Tina (Eric) Schierer, Nicole Hope Delicath, Robert (Amira) Hills, Theresa (Joe) Cecil and seven great-grandchildren.
John worked for OSF St. Francis Medical Center. He loved his wife dearly and his children, grandchildren, and family. He loved to fish and hunt. He enjoyed traveling, playing poker, and flipping houses.
Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
