Obituary for John "Jack" Bach
John “Jack” Bach, 69, formerly of Savannah, GA passed away March 25, 2008 at Lutheran Hillside Village in Peoria. Jack was born in Elmhurst, IL on Jan 31, 1939 to Herbert and Jane Ashley Bach. He will be greatly missed by his daughter, Karen (Mike) Schmale of Washington, his son Gary (Brenda) Bach of Springfield, his sister Barbara (Don) Sprague of Ames. IA, and his beloved granddaughters, Emily and Sarah. Jack worked as a civil engineer for many years in Urbana before moving to Savannah, GA to work for the Army Corp. of Engineers. Jack enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and model trains. He adored his two Great Danes, Zin and Schwartzy. Cremation has been accorded and the family will be holding a Celebration of Life on Sunday April 6,. Memorials may be made to Harbor Lights Hospice or Lutheran Hillside Village.
