Obituary for John Canham
John Kenneth Canham 79, of Peoria passed away on Thursday February 4, 2010 at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born on July 22, 1930 in Springfield, IL to Kenneth E. and Katherine Louise Sime Canham. John married Maude Ann Kloeppner on November 28, 1957 in St. Louis County MO. She survives along with his daughter Kristine L. Canham of Wheeling, IL, son John S. (Rhonda) Canham of Ellicott City, MD, 2 grandchildren: Grant and Grace Canham of Ellicott City, MD, and 1 brother Donald H. (Mayme) Canham of Missoula, MT. John was a graduate of Woodruff High School and St. Louis College of Pharmacy. He worked for various pharmacies in St. Louis and Suttiff & Case in Peoria and Peoria area. He owned and operated Canham’s Professional Pharmacy from 1971 to 1991. He was a member of United Presbyterian Church and ordained elder there, he was also a member of Central IL Pharmacy Association & a past President. John was a 50 year member of the Peoria Magicians Assembly, International Brotherhood of Magicians, Society of American Magicians and the IL Lodge No. 263. Cremation has been accorded. A Memorial Service will be held Friday February 12, 2010 at 11am at the United Presbyterian Church, 2400 W. Northmoor Rd., Peoria with a visitation one hour prior to service. Rev Dr. Randall Saxon will officiate. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Church’s M.A.P. Fund. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
