Obituary for John Albert Puskarich
John Albert Puskarich, 89, of Canton passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at The Loft Rehabilitation and Nursing in Canton.
He was born August 12, 1931 in Canton to Dano and Mila “Amelia” Pavletich Puskarich.
He married Charlotte Ellyn Robinson in Canton at St. Mary’s Church; she preceded him in death November 15, 2020. His parents; brothers, George Puskarich, Joseph Puskarich, Daniel Puskarich, Matthew Puskarich and sisters, Anne Warner and Helen Hurst also preceded him in death.
He is survived by his son, John Jeffrey Puskarich of Canton.
John was a welder, a processor, a planner and a supervisor at Caterpillar where he worked for thirty years until his retirement in the 1980’s.
In his youth he was a hotrodder, helping to found Canton’s “Gear Jammers” car club. This love led to his first career as a mechanic and parts manager at Canton Motor Sales, aka “the Pontiac Garage”. He also loved his family and especially traveling with his family. John loved his son, coaching him in little leagues and in life. He was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Canton and the Knights of Columbus.
Cremation has been accorded and services will be held at a later date.
