She was born December 19, 1930 in Dallas, Texas to Ovid and Madeline (Meyers) Cole. She married Dean H. Heydenberk on April 10, 1959. He preceded her in death on November 30, 2006. She is survived by Wesley Widger, whom she married on September 10, 2010, her son, David (Connie) Heydenberk of Woodridge, IL., one grandson, Mitchell (Hayle) Heydenberk of Chicago, IL., and one granddaughter, Alexa Heydenberk of Woodridge, IL. She is also survived by three stepchildren, Jo Ellyn (Mike) Jablonski of Pekin, IL., Janet (Rick) Look of Mapleton, IL., Jeff Widger of Phoenix, AZ., five step-grandchildren, Korey (Shawna) Jablonski of Pekin, IL., Cody (Rachel) Jablonski of Lisle, IL., Erick Look of St. George, UT., Adam Look of Tucson, AZ., Maggie Look of Bloomington, IL., and three step-great-grandchildren, Kamden and Oaklyn Jablonski of Pekin, IL., and Quinn Jablonski of Lisle, IL.

Most of her working years were spent in real estate sales and staging. Her true passion, however, was art, through both creation and appreciation. She studied painting under prominent Chicago artist, Martin Pribil. Many of her paintings were acquired by various Chicago area galleries. She painted a local landmark for the city of Hinsdale, IL., which found its place as a permanent installation of their Centennial Collection.

She was of the Methodist faith. A private service will be held. Memorials may be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
