Obituary for Jill Hastings
Jill E. Hastings 54, of East Peoria passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Rosewood Care Center in East Peoria. She was born in Peoria on August 17, 1958 to Donald Gale and Kathleen Duffy Hastings. She is survived by her siblings, Timothy Hastings of Decatur, Jane (Daniel) Sheen of Roanoke, Ann (Patrick) Garey of Rantoul and nieces and nephew, Julia Sheen, Bridget Sheen, Monica Garey, Joseph Garey and Emma Hastings. Her parents preceded her in death. Jill was a Registered Nurse for many years and was a very kind person that had a beautiful heart and soul. She loved to read and enjoyed poetry. She always surrounded herself with her treasured antiques. Her nieces and nephew meant the world to her. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11 a.m. at La Prairie United Presbyterian Church in Sparland with burial immediately following the service at the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to T.A.P.S. animal shelter in her name.
