Obituary for Jerry Jackson
Jerry R. Jackson, 70, of Creve Coeur, IL, passed away at his residence Sunday, November 27, 2011. He was born November 20, 1941 to Alfred W. Jackson and Rose (Doering) Jackson. He married Beverly Fultz August 20, 1961 in Peoria, IL. He has three daughters, Nikki Jackson of Pekin, IL, Tammy Jackson of Tremont, IL and Traci (Tim) Puentes of Washington, IL. He has seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his sister, Mary K. (Ronald Porter) Davidson of Morton, IL. His father, mother, two brothers, Kenny and George Jackson, two sisters, Shirley Owen and Judy Severns, his twin sister, preceded him in death. Jerry worked for 15 years at Pabst Brewing Co. in Peoria Heights, IL. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was also a caregiver to his brother, sister and brother-in-law. He was a loving man who cherished his family. He had a great sense of humor and wit. His family was so proud of him that he overcame his struggles with alcohol and tobacco, which resulted in a prayerful and peaceful father, brother, grandpa and friend. He will be missed greatly. Cremation has been accorded and a private family service will be held. Memorials may be made in his name to the donor’s choice.
