Obituary for Jerry D Motteler
Jerry D. Motteler 73, of Peoria passed away at 3:11am on Thursday March 11, 2010. He was born in Peoria on February 5, 1937 to Emily (Wombacher) and Allen Motteler. He married Judie Flynn on January 28, 1956 in Peoria. His parents, one son and three brothers preceded him in death. Mr. Motteler is survived by his wife Judie; son Donny (Vickie) Motteler and their son Jerry (Corrie); son Jimmy Motteler (Deceased) and his sons James and Ryan; son Michael (Amy) Motteler and their sons Jacob and Michael and daughter Morgan; and son Jerry (Mary) Motteler and their son Clifford and daughter Emily. Six great grandchildren, brother, Harold (Bud) (Judy) Motteler and brother, Gary (Karen) Motteler, also survive Mr. Motteler. Jerry was an electrician for Hardin Signs for 18 years. He retired and moved to Florida but returned a few years back to enjoy his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2010 from 11:00am to l:00 pm at St. Thomas Church in Peoria Heights, with a mass immediately following. Fr. Thomas Taylor will officiate. Following the mass, a luncheon will be served at the church. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to OSF Home Hospice or St. Thomas Catholic Church. Cremation has been accorded. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements. On-Line condolences may be made at csmico.com
