Obituary for Jean H. Ray
Jean H. Ray 88, of Germantown Hills passed away on Aug 8, 2008 at Fondulac Rehabilitation Care Center in East Peoria. Born in Peoria to Frank and Jessamine Selden Hughes on June 19, 1920. She is survived by her children: Gail Shannon of Groveland, Diane Tiesel of Aurora, MO, Sean (Stephanie) Ray of Coon Rapids, MN, six grandchildren and her beloved niece Judith Walkins of Grand Prairie, TX. Her 2 brothers, 5 sisters and a son preceded her in death. Jean was a Chemist Assistant for Northern Research Regional Lab (Peoria & St. Louis), retiring in 1986. She was an avid gardener and bird watcher and attended Lourdes Germantown Hills Church. Cremation has been accorded and no services are planned. Burial of cremains will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Peoria. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. is assisting the family with arrangements.
