Obituary for James Yaunk
James Bernard Yaunk, 57, of Peoria passed away at 5:58 p.m. at Fondulac Rehabilitation and Health Care in East Peoria. He was born June 7, 1960 in Peoria to Raymond and Pearl Ludolph Yaunk. He is survived by his mother, Pearl Yaunk; siblings, Janet (John) Murnan, Jean Yaunk, John (Brenda) Yaunk, Joan (Kevin) McMullen, Julie (Richard) Davis and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father. James served in the U.S. Army from 1977 to 1983 as an Infantryman and in the 11th Chemical Corp USAREUR E7 in Germany. He worked as a groundskeeper of Springdale Cemetery. He was an outdoorsman who loved camping and fishing. He loved baseball and was an avid Cardinals fan. James was a loving and giving man and he will be greatly missed. Per his wishes cremation has been accorded and no services will be held. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in his name.
