Obituary for James W. Cannon
James W. Cannon, 87, of Peoria Heights passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025, at his residence.
He was born on December 18, 1937, in Peoria to Maurice and Henritta Lewis Cannon. He married Betty Stretch in 1959, and she preceded him in death in 1992. His parents and brother, Danny Cannon also preceded him in death.
James married Dorothy “Lucy” Isbell on April 30, 1993, in Peoria; she survives. He is also survived by his children, D’Arbara (Louis) Duran, Jim (Tina) Cannon, Michelle Suggs, Jon Wilson; grandchildren, Logan Duran, Amanda (Amanda) Cannon, Jessica (Ben) Winscott, Jason Suggs, Hunter Wilson, Leah Wilson; great-grandchildren, Leila Winscott, Theo Winscott and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.
He worked for Caterpillar until retiring December 1, 2000.
James was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
Per his wishes cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
