Obituary for James Plue
James Michael Plue, 63, of Pekin passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria.
He was born October 30, 1956 in Rock Island to Frank J. and Dorothy Harper Plue.
He married Denise J. Null September 3, 2010 in Pekin; she survives. He is also survived by his children, James L. “Dusty” (Tammy) Plue, David Plue, Tamara Berger, Rachel (Mark) Harper, Trisha Beeney, Jesse (Jamie) Garber; ten grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister, Michelle Clayton; sister-in-law, Linda Plue and brother-in-law, Gary (Marnie) Streeter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Rick Plue, Gary Plue, James Plue, Donny Plue and sister, Linda Streeter.
James worked for R. L. Lewis Industries, retiring in 2016. More than anything he loved his family and spending as much time with them as he could. He loved fishing, camping, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoyed listening to KISS, watch NASCAR and ball games with his son, Dusty. James was a father figure to Timmy “his pool shooting buddy” and Paul. He also enjoyed a cold one at the “TAP” and gardening. He was a past member of the Men’s Auxiliary VFW in Pekin.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date at the VFW in Pekin. Memorials may be made to his family or the charity of the donor’s choice.
