Obituary for James Hamm
James Emmett Hamm of Pekin, IL, made his transition on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Aperion Care Toluca. He was born on November 26, 1930 in Pruden, TN, to Jesse and Gladys (Pruden) Hamm.
While serving in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict, he married Han Samrae on May 11, 1953 at the American Consulate in Pusan, South Korea.
He is survived by his wife, his children, Neita (David) Sudberry of Flint, MI, Gordon (Debbie) Hamm of Jericho, VT, Ramona (Alan) Gatewood of Concordia, MO; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and many others who loved him.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Fast Dragon, 321 Court St., Pekin from 7-9pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dementia Society of America (dementiasociety.org) or Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
