Obituary for James E. Drayton
James E. Drayton, 73, of Peoria passed away at 6:20 a.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born on March 3, 1951, in Evanston, IL to George Hardy and Annie Pearl Caruthers Drayton. His parents; one brother and one sister preceded him in death.
He is survived by his cousins, Jewel Blackwell, Webster Jackson, devoted friend, Antoinette Gaines and a host of many other cousins.
James worked as a security guard.
He loved his family and joking around. He had a great memory. He enjoyed and loved watching the Chicago Cubs play. He will be greatly missed.
Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
