Obituary for Irene Mary Bullock
Irene Mary Bullock, 95, of Peoria passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021, at her residence.
She was born July 14, 1926, in Cincinnati, OH to Albert and Alma Braebender Pelzel.
She married Garfield Bullock August 10, 1946, in Cincinnati; he preceded her in death October 22, 2001. Her parents and son, Jan Bullock also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Jana Bullock; grandchildren, James (Karen) Bullock, Kelli (Charles) Martin; greatgrandchildren, Brandon Fiedler, Hope (Paxton Batson II) Fiedler, Hugh Fiedler, Alex Matthews, Chase Matthews, Benjamin Fiedler, Alexis Matthews, Rylan Matthews, Conner Matthews, JJ Bullock; great-greatgrandchild, Paxton Batson III and many nieces and nephews.
Irene was an avid Rosie Red of the Cincinnati Reds. She loved bowling at Town & Country Bowl. She enjoyed gardening and caring for the rabbits in her backyard. She loved shopping at Kroger and bird watching. Most of all she loved her family.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021, from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at El Vista Baptist Church in Peoria.
Memorials may be made to LULA Peoria, Porch Pantry Peoria, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
