Obituary for Henry Lohrenz
Henry Carl Lohrenz 90, of Kingston Mines passed away on Saturday April 24, 2010 at Pekin Hospital. Born in San Prairie Twp to Carl and Marie Denker Lohrenz on May 9, 1919. He married Sarah Crooks in Burlington, IA on April 4, 1941. She preceded him in death on January 22, 1993. His parents, daughter Marie Rushing and brothers: Wilbur Lohrenz and Rudy and Clarence Schlobum also preceded him in death. Henry is survived by his son Mark “Tony” (Casi) Lohrenz of Pekin, sisters: Bertha Odewalt, Marion (Russell) Endicott and Alice Maas all of Pekin, grandchildren: Gerald D. Rushing Jr. of Pekin, Kandy (Donald) Rudd of Kingston Mines, Bonitta “Boni” (Carl) Huey of Green Valley, Mark (Karen) Lohrenz and Jonathon (Nora) Lohrenz both of FL, James (Amy) Lohrenz of Pekin, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter. Henry served in the Navy during WWII, worked at Standard Brands for 25 years and as a Custodian at Sherex Chemical Co. in Mapleton, retiring in 1985. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday April 28, at 10 a.m. at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin with fellowship to follow at the Kingston Mines Methodist Church.
