Obituary for Henry Fritz
Henry E. “Hank” Fritz, 58, of Morton passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at 4:30 p.m. at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria on Wednesday October 31, 2012. He was born March 5, 1954 in Peoria, Illinois to Glenn and Shirley (Walser) Fritz. He is survived by his daughter, Shannon Fritz (fiancé David Christman) of Peoria Heights; his girlfriend Tami Treece of Morton and her children Jenifer, Jaimie and Jeremy. He is also survived by his brother Glenn (Sue) Fritz of Trivoli, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. He graduated from Peoria Heights High School and Illinois Central College. He was employed by Caterpillar Inc. for thirty-nine years, last working two weeks ago. He was a proud member of UAW Local 974. He taught heating and air conditioning at Illinois Central College. He also owned and operated his own heating and air conditioning business. Hank was a member of the Frank Nicol Masonic Lodge 1170, A.F. & A.M. in Creve Coeur for 27 years. He volunteered at Debby’s School of Dance, helping with the sceneries and backdrop for the dance recitals. Cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Hank’s life will be held Saturday, November 10, 2012 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the UAW Hall 3025 Springfield Road, East Peoria, IL 61611. Memorials may be made to St. Jude in his name.
