Helen L. Copeland, 68, of Bartonville passed away Monday, January 14, 2013 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born January 25, 1944 in Pope County, IL to Harold and Nina Hazel Kerley. She married Everett L. Copeland, he preceded her in death May 28, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Lou Castleman and three nephews. She is survived by her son, Bryan E. Copeland of Bartonville; daughter, Teri M. (Tim) Schmick of Bartonville; grandchildren, Stephanie M. Copeland of Peoria, Samantha M. Copeland of Bartonville, Brandon D. Schmick of Bartonville, Jordan M. Schmick of Bartonville, Skyler M. Copeland of Bartonville; sisters, Floy Lee Bouchez of Bartonville, Hazel Kohlbuss of Bartonville, Marianna Belcher of Eddyville, Shirley (Kurt) Russell of Simpson and several nieces and nephews. Helen was a school bus driver for many years. Cremation has been accorded and per her wishes no services will be held. Memorials may be made to TAPS in her name
