Obituary for Harry Voll
Harry Voll, 71, of Peoria died Friday, Jan. 25, at home. Born September 20, 1936 in Pekin the son of the late Ernest and Stella (Jones) Voll, he married Ann Becker on September 1, 1968 in Carson City, Nevada. She survives. Also surviving are his sister- and brother-in-law, Ted and Linda Lasseigne of Auburndale, Florida and nieces Leah (Chris) Marino of Tallahassee, Florida and Leslie (Mitch) Ladner of Winter Haven, Florida and grand nephew Maxwell Ladner. He was a graduate of Bradley University and served in the Illinois Air National Guard in Peoria. He was a member of First Federated Church, Peoria. He had been active in the Illinois Valley Sports Car Club, driving in its hillclimbs in Detweiller Park. He loved auto racing, especially Formula One. He enjoyed driving and working on his Morgan. He had many other interests, including architecture and design, was a great cook himself, and was always ready to try new restaurants here and on travels abroad. Harry was employed as a Systems Analyst at Caterpillar before retirement. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, directed to the Companion Animal Memorial Fund, 2001 S.
