Obituary for Harold W. Wehking
Harold W. Wehking 77, of Peoria passed away on Thursday Feb 28, 2008 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Born in Livingston County on Oct 7, 1930 to Harry and Marie Flohr Wehking. He married Elaine Audi in Santa Maria on April 30, 1952, she survives along with his son Larry (Bonnie) Wehking of Peoria, daughter Mona Wehking of Peoria Heights, brothers; Wesley (Diane) of California and Arnold (Karen) of Benson. His parents and sister preceded him in death. Harold served in the Army during the Korean War and worked in Tool Investigation for Caterpillar for 34 years, retiring in 1982. He was a former member of the American Legion Post #2 and Peoria Elks #20. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday March 4, at 11 a.m. at Parkview United Church of Christ 2221 N. Gale Ave Peoria. Rev. Stephen Barch will officiate. Inurnment will be in Resurrection Cemetery at a later date. In Lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Children’s Heart Institute of Illinois 515 N.E. Glen Oak Suite 202 Peoria, IL 61603.
