Obituary for Gregory Williams
Greg Earl Williams, 64yrs old 8-19-54 to 2-16-19 From Moline IL

He passed away peacefully at Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria IL with his family by his side. He passed away of natural causes and was suffering from heart complications and vascular dementia. He was a loving father, son, brother, grandfather & uncle. He was a strong Christian man and his faith ran deep.

He grew up in East Moline and graduated from United Township High School in 1972 and he was inducted into the wrestling hall of fame with his teammates in 2015. He graduated from Iowa State with a Bachelors in Business & Industries Marketing where he also enjoyed his time with his Delta Chi fraternity brothers. He also held a paralegal degree from Marycrest.

He was a sports fanatic. Loved his Denver Broncos and the Chicago Cubs. He enjoyed golf and volunteered at the John Deere Classic for 30+ years. He looked forward to it each year. He loved to play fantasy football and always did amazing at it. He enjoyed reading and going to movies. He was always proud of the time he wrestled and played football. He LOVED to cook and always made an amazing meal. If you have any of his recipe cards you are lucky.

He is survived by his daughter, Shannon Gutheil and son-in law Chris, his two granddaughters Mya & Erizon, his ex-wife Karen Yeager, sister Becky Hunter & brother-in law Steve, nephew Dylan, his sister LeAnn Tchoryk and his mother Sue Tchoryk, along with his great aunts and uncles, cousins and many others. He was preceded in death by his father Earl Williams and stepfather John Tchoryk and his grandparents on both sides.

A celebration of life and memorial service will be held at his home church, Christ United Methodist church on 7th Street East Moline, IL, on Thursday March 21st, 2019 at 4pm & a reception will follow.
