Obituary for Gloria G. Solar
Washington - Gloria G. Solar 76, of Washington passed away on December 3, 2007 at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria. Born to Annie Glory Dalton on March 16, 1931 in Australia, she married William Charles Solar on March 26, 1954 in New South Wales Australia. He preceded her in death on Oct 25, 1998 along with her mother. She is survived by her daughters; Anna M. Solar of Bolingbrook, Carole L. Solar of Washington, Renee M. Solar of Fairview Heights, Laura M. Cloninger of Norwood, brother Michael of New South Wales, Australia, 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 1 one the way. She was a loving, wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed greatly by all her family. Words she wanted us to remember, “Do not stand by my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am the thousand winds that blow, I am the diamond glints in the snow.” Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. is assisting the family with arrangements.
