Obituary for Geraldine "Geri" Stamm
Geraldine L. “Geri” Stamm 74, of East Peoria, IL passed away Tuesday August 16, 2011 at her residence. She was born October 12, 1936 to Luther and Geraldine Scott Jordan in Chicago, IL. She married W.L. Stamm July 21, 1961. He preceded her in death June 24, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Philip W. Jordan. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Trail of Woodbury, TN, nephew, Phillip L. Jordan of Peoria, IL, 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and her beloved cat, Gabriel. Geri graduated from Woodruff High School in Peoria, IL in 1954, and Northwestern Hospital School of Nursing in Chicago, IL in 1957. She was a practicing RN in the operating room at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, IL for 14 years and at Proctor Hospital Chemical Dependency Unit in Peoria, IL for 18 years. Special thanks goes to her caregivers, the family would like to acknowledge special attention she received in particular by Harriet Brasher and Dorothy Beckman. Geri lived her life to the fullest. She was extremely dedicated to family and circle of friends, who meant so much to her. Cremation has been accorded and private services will be held at a later date.
