Obituary for Gerald Wheeler
Gerald W. Wheeler, 73, of Peoria passed away peacefully Sunday, February 28, 2016 at his home. Born August 31, 1942 in Peoria to Kenneth T. and Dorothy E. Wheeler. He was preceded in death by both parents; three sisters and one brother. He married Londa L. Scarpelli (Hedrick) on October 13, 1979. She survives, also surviving are his children, Cameron M. Wheeler and Kimberly K. (Andrew) Edenburn both of Peoria; two grandsons Dylan and Dominic Edenburn and some nephews and nieces. He served in the Army and was stationed in Germany. After serving he went to work for Caterpillar Inc., where he worked for 47 years mostly at the Mapleton Foundry. His hobby was fishing, every year he’d pack up the family and away they would go to Minnesota to catch the big ones. There will be no services at this time. Cremation has been accorded and the burial of his ashes will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, in his honor memorials may be made to TAPS or the St. Labre Indian School P.O. Box 216 Ashland, Montana 59003-9989.
