Obituary for Gary R. Pelech
Gary R. Pelech, 65, of Pekin passed away Monday, August 21, 2023, at Carle Health Methodist in Peoria.
He was born September 15, 1957, in Skokie, IL to Matthew W. and Lorraine Berckes Pelech. His parents; brothers, Donny Pelech, Ronny Pelech, Matt Pelech and sister, Arlene Hodges preceded him in death.
He married Denise Ann Oakley February 26, 1977, in Adamsville, MI; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Angela (Trisha) Kirby, Jason Pelech; grandchildren, Elizabeth Donovan, Jonathan Donovan, Sydney Pelech, Emily Watts, Lillian Pelech, Taylor Pelech; great-grandson, Jameson; brother, Wally (Pam) Pelech and many nieces and nephews.
Gary worked for OX Industries, retiring in 2023.
He loved his family. He enjoyed camping, the outdoors, restoring old cars and he was an avid woodworker. He loved giving his coworkers “Holy Hell”.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Avanti’s in Pekin.
