Obituary for Franklin Mahoney Sr.
Franklin H. Mahoney Sr., 65, of Peoria passed away Friday, December 29, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born September 21, 1952 in Fort Knox, KY to Thomas J. and Barbara J. Howard Mahoney. He married Sarah J. Billingsley October 29, 1991 in Macon County; she survives. He is also survived by his daughters, Marie Stephens, Francine Hagloch, Kari Fuller; sons, Franklin Mahoney Jr, Thomas Mahoney, Charles Mahoney; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles Mahoney, Richard Mahoney and sister, Pam Mathias. His parents preceded him in death. Franklin served in the U.S. Air Force and owned and operated Mahoney and Sons. He loved his job but most of all he loved his family and would have done anything for them especially his children. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
