Obituary for Franklin "Frank" L. Hobbs
Franklin (Frank) L Hobbs, 80, of West Peoria, passed away peacefully at 5:50 pm on Sunday July 10, 2022 on the 4 surgical floor at OSF Hospital. He was born to Steven E and Beula D Hobbs on December 12, 1941 in Chandlerville, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Ross (Red), Orville (Dean), and Steven D Hobbs; sister Linda Horner; nephew Michael D Hobbs; great niece Samantha J White and great-great niece Haley N Baker.
He is survived by 5 nieces Sherri Del, Laura Lynn, Chris LeeAnn, DeeDee and Kim; and 6 nephews Kerry, Curt, Rusty, Donnie, Kenny and Steven and several great and great-great nieces and nephews and a few cousins.
He served in the Vietnam War from 1964 - 1966. He was retired from Lowe's. He was an adventurer and loved traveling, gardening, going to yard sales and sharing the memories of the Hobbs' family life stories.
Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no local services. There will be a Military Honors Service on August 3, 2022 at 10 am at Camp Butler in Springfield, IL.
Memorials may be made to the 4 surgical floor at OSF Hospital. Flowers and cards may be sent to Sherri Hobbs at 2904 Cocoa Ct, Panama City, FL 32405.
