It is with great sadness that the family of Frank Durkin announces his peaceful passing on February 1st, 2025. Born in Chicago, Illinois on February 4, 1934, Frank was a graduate of CVS High School. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving from 1953-1957. Frank was known for his dedication and service to his country. He was honorably discharged and furthered his career by enrolling to the Art Institute of Chicago School of Industrial Art and then University of Chicago where he graduated with a Bachelor degree of Fine Arts. He was a beloved family member and friend, always known for his kindness and generosity. We celebrate his life and the many ways that he touched the hearts of those around him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones during this difficult time. He is survived by his Wife of 64 years: Carol Durkin, Daughter: Holly Woolard (Steve), Sons: Christopher Durkin (Michelle), Brian Durkin (Julie), Grandchildren: Zachary Durkin (Kristen), Kailey Woolard (Denzel), Kelsey Woolard, Alex Durkin. A celebration of life will be held privately for the family on a future date. The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Pekin/Peoria is assisting the family with arrangements.
