Frances E. Wilson 87, of Pekin passed away on Wednesday January 23, 2008 at her home. Born in Witt, IL on March 12, 1920 to Martin and Martha
“Mattie” Moore Hoehn, she married Roy Shallenberger in 1946 he passed away in 1969, she then married Wayne E. Wilson in 1970, he preceded her in death in 2001 along with her three sisters and two children. Frances is survived by her children; Roy Shallenberger II. of Peoria, David (Cindy) Shallenberger, Monica (Alvin) Connett, Ann (Don) Potter and Lisa Drury all of Pekin, eight grand and seven great grandchildren. Frances was the owner operator of Shallenberger Lumber Co. and was the Termanial Manager at Stahly, retiring in 1984. She was an avid Bowler, life member of the Woman of the Moose and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin where a funeral mass will be held for her on Saturday January 26, at 1:30 p.m.. Father Timothy Nolan will officiate. Burial will be in Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday at Abts Mortuary. Memorials may be made in her name to the Children’s Hospital of Illinois. Abts Mortuary has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
