Floyd W. Rivers, 58, of Peoria passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at his residence.
He was born July 27, 1962 in Sedalia, MO to Darrel and Bonnie Willis Rivers. His father and sister, Denise Rivers preceded him in death.
He married Brenda L. Fitzwater October 1, 1982 in South Pekin; she survives. He is also survived by his children, Angel (Jimmy) Nickem, Alan (Becky) Fitzwater, Anna (Adam) McCauley, Adam Rivers; grandchildren, Alicia Rivers; Alex Sriaard, Kyle Fitzwater, Andrew Fitzwater, Grace Ridgley, Anthony Sriaard, Owen Fitzwater, Dalton McCauley, Ava Nickem, Athyna Rivers, Liam Nickem; mother, Bonnie Rivers and siblings, Raymond Rivers and Candice McClain.
Floyd served in the U.S. Army and worked in industrial cleaning as a chemical cleaner retiring in 2016.
He loved his family and was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, spending time outdoors by the lake and camping. He loved road trips, horror movies and making jewelry.
Cremation has been accorded and services will be held at a later date.
