Obituary for Eunice Monroe
Eunice Loraine Monroe, 75, of 2303 Broadway Apt 10B3 Pekin passed away at 9:02 p.m. Monday November 22, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born March 1, 1935 to George and Katie Vance Davis. She married Robert J. Monroe on November 29, 1951 in Pekin, later divorcing in 1975. Surviving are one son, Charles “Chuck” Monroe, one daughter Charlene Beaver, one brother James “Chink” Davis, four grandchildren, Angel Cornwell of Marquette Heights, Heidi Cornwell, Erin Beaver and Ted Beaver all of Pekin, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Her parents, son Robert Junior Monroe, and siblings Wilbur “Web”, George and Dorothy preceded her in death. She was a retired Cashier from Stop-N-Go Convenience store in Pekin. She spent much of her retirement doting on her grand kids. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
