Erma R. Funchess, 84, of Peoria passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Carle Health Methodist in Peoria.
She was born May 7, 1939, in Homer, LA to Will and Irma Lawhorn Morris.
She married Courtland Funchess; he preceded her in death in 1976. Her parents; brothers, Drew Morris, Willie Morris, Aaron Morris and sisters, Katie Morris, Mary Morris, and Bertha Williams preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Frederick (Mary A.) Morris, Calandra Funchess; grandchildren, Kerionte Funchess, Chandalyn Groves, JaNae Morris, Frederick Morris II, Katerra Flora; five great-grandchildren and siblings, Jessie Mae Ferrell, Christell Morris, and Vastie Phillips.
Erma worked for the American Red Cross.
She loved her Lord, her church, and her family. She enjoyed cooking and Bingo.
Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held.
